This wonderful pair of earrings is a work of art and has everything you could possibly want from a piece of Native American jewelry! This piece of Native American jewelry is Navajo hand crafted by artist Bobby Platero, out of genuine sterling silver and real Turquoise stones. A total of SIX stones are delicately set in a hand cut bezel setting (THREE in each earring), while twisted silver and imprinted designs can be seen accenting a stunning cowboy hat for a magnificent look. The earrings are stamped .925 (sterling) and hallmarked.
Turquoise is the birthstone of December. It is believed that turquoise tends to bring good fortune, strength and helps overcome illness. Turquoise got its name from the Levantine traders called Turks who brought the stone to Europe from Persia via Turkey centuries ago. Native Americans have prized turquoise since the time of the Aztecs, who mined it in New Mexico. The natural variations that occur in turquoise are part of its appeal and beauty.
